Community Support

The Network is working with First Nation communities to assess their resources and build strategies that increase the capacity of their local Guardian Watchmen programs by helping to:

• Develop strategic and operational plans
• Identify funding opportunities 
• Assist with developing and tracking program budgets
• Help to write business cases and grant proposals 
• Identify training needs and opportunities for professional development

The Network serves an important role to:

• Secure funding for regional activities
• Facilitate strategic partnerships with non-governmental organizations, philanthropic foundations and universities
• Build relationships with relevant government agencies
