Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation - Enhancement Projects and Seed Funding

The Habitat Conservation Trust Fund is looking for projects that: focus on freshwater wild fish, native wildlife species and their habitats; have the potential to achieve a significant conservation outcome; best represent the interests of the trust Foundation's contributors; and maintain or enhance opportunities for fishing, hunting, trapping, wildlife viewing and associated outdoor recreational activities.

This fund could provide funds Guardian Watchmen programs for surveying, monitoring, and assessment activities.

Granting Amounts: 

Habitat Enhancement Projects - $5,000 to $100,000 depending on the type of project. Seed Funding Proposals are eligible to apply for up to $5000.

Special Notes: 

Habitat Enchancement Projects vary in terms of the amount of funding - review the list of projects in their annual news release and backgrounders on the website for more information.

Seed Funding Proposals are geared towards those projects that are still at the design or visioning stage.  These projects require small amounts of funding to conduct feasibility studies before proceeding to apply as an HCTF Enhancement Project in future years.  Operations and Maintenance proposals (over 3 years) accepted.

Can apply for multi year funding and can apply for more than one project in any give year. Lots of ineligible activities, check the website for details. The Trust Foundation receives many more proposals than there are funds available to support. Check formatting requirements, they are very specific on their website
