A Strong Presence on the Coast - New Coastal Guardian Watchmen Uniforms

Watch for a new look on the coast this summer - Coastal Guardian Watchmen from the North and Central Coasts are sporting brand new uniforms. A unified presence for communities up and down the coast moves Coastal First Nations a big step forward toward assuming authority and making decisions on resource stewardship issues.

Strengthening Relationships and Capacity - Fourth Annual Guardian Watchmen Gathering a Big Success

The fourth Annual Guardian Watchmen Gathering brought together over 50 First Nations Guardian Watchmen, resource stewardship practitioners and technical specialists from up and down the coast, to share knowledge and experiences about their local programs and learn new skills. This year's Gathering marked the launch of CoastTracker, a hand held mobile device for collecting Regional Monitoring Strategy data on ecological and cultural indicators.
