Registration Form - Annual Gathering 2016

We are excited to announce that our Annual Coastal Stewardship Network Gathering will be happening May 16 to May 20, 2016.  The Hakai Beach Institute, located just south of Bella Bella on Calvert Island, will generously host us again this year!

This year's gathering is open to Coastal First Nation member Nations only, however we encourage you to register early because space is limited and we expect registration to fill up fast.

Transportation - We are arranging boat transportation from Prince Rupert for folks travelling from the North Coast and Haida Gwaii (we will cover ferry costs from Haida Gwaii to Prince Rupert) and boat transportation for communities on the Central Coast (Klemtu, Bella Bella, Bella Coola and River's Inlet). Arrangements will be confirmed in the next few weeks.  Please let us know where you will depart from, so that we can make adequate arrangements.

Travel Schedule - Monday, May 16 - Travel to Hakai from pick-up points, estimated arrival in time for dinner.  Friday, May 20 - Depart from Hakai at 8:00 am.  When the travel arrangements are confirmed we will notify you about exact departure and arrival times.

Accommodation - Accommodation at Hakai Beach Institute will be bunk-style, with most rooms housing 6 people.  Make sure you remember to bring your earplugs!

What to Bring - Please make sure that you bring your CoastTracker device to the gathering - we will update the program and sequences during the conference. Also wear your uniforms!

We'll be sending out a flyer shortly, with more information and the objectives of the Coastal Stewardship Network Annual Gathering. Please stay tuned for draft agenda and other logistical details.  If you have any questions or ideas about the gathering please don't hesitate to contact us by email

If you will be travelling to one of the pick-up points, please let us know when and how you will be arriving (driving, floatplane, ferry from Haida Gwaii) and whether your Nation can cover those costs or if you will need to be reimbursed.
