Network Partners

The Coastal Guardian Watchmen Network is a project of the Coastal First Nations Great Bear Initiative.  The Sierra Club BC and Qqs Projects Society (Heiltsuk First Nation) were instrumental in establishing the Network and provide ongoing support.

Coastal First Nations Great Bear Initiative (formerly Coastal First Nations Turning Point Initiative) is an alliance of First Nations on British Columbia’s North and Central Coast and Haida Gwaii. They play a leadership role in bringing together a range of interests on the coast to address unsustainable policies and practices and work with First Nations communities to establish a conservation-based economy.
Sierra Club BC works to preserve BC’s imperiled wilderness and wildlife and ensures that BC is a global leader when it comes to tackling climate change.
Qqs Projects Society works to support Heiltsuk youth, culture and environment and conducts a range of research and monitoring activities.
